Reception and exam rooms
Our spacious lobby allows plenty of room for multiple pets and their owners. On arrival, our client
services staff will always give you a warm welcome. For your convenience, we provide
complimentary coffee and have a water fountain.
In the unusual event that your appointment is delayed, you can browse through our scrapbooks
which are filled with cards and momentos from many of our clients, or watch Animal Planet on our
cable television.
Intensive Care Unit
The technician’s station allows them to view all of the cages and runs in ICU from a central location,
allowing all hospitalized patients to be carefully monitored. We have oxygen cages available for
patients who are having breathing difficulties, and a bank of heated cages used for patients who
need warming or who are recovering from anesthesia.

The surgery department has extensive monitoring
equipment to ensure your pets anesthesia is as
safe as possible. We routinely monitor and
document each patent’s vital signs, such as pulse
rate, blood pressure, oxygenation, respiratory
rate, electrocardiogram (ECG), end tidal carbon
dioxide level, and temperature. Each patient has
one of our experienced technicians monitoring

| Pass through cabinets with glass doors allow storage of
surgical packs and equipment with easy access from the
operating room and the instrument preparation area. A
pass-through window allows us to minimize traffic in the
operating room, thus reducing chances of infection. |

Instrument preparation area: this room is where all or
surgical instruments are cleaned, packaged and
sterilized, either by autoclave or ethylene oxide gas
sterilization. We have 3 autoclaves and one ethylene
oxide sterilizer. Once sterilized, the instruments are
stored in glass cabinets for easy access. |

| We have a separate room for performing our rehabilitation
treatments and exercises so that pets are not distracted. Here
Carrie does execises with a patient on the wobble board,
which strengthens and improves balance. |

Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory allows us to run blood tests, urinalysis, fecal tests and cytology 24-hours a
day. In many critical cases, access to prompt and accurate laboratory test results can prove pivotal
in providing the correct diagnosis and treatment.
